Finally, we are all moved in and unpacked in the new house and I must apologize for my absence from this blog. I now have had a chance to set up my new art room and get stuck into making some new mosaics.
The final piece of my mural has now been completed, although the grouting is still to be done. Unfortunately, we ran out of cash (who doesn’t when building a new home) so I will not be able to lay the mural until we can afford to tile the outdoor areas. At that point I will post a photo of the finished piece.
In the mean time, my most urgent project was to make a house number plaque.
There is a new range of wall tiles now available at Bunnings with some colours I really love, so I grabbed a few and came up with this surfer mosaic, which I think fits in well with our colourful beach house look
My next order of business is to get enough pieces together to take to the local markets for sale. I am hoping to have these ready by the end of this week. I will let you know where and when my first market day will be.
After that, I should then have a bit more time to keep up with some regular blog posts.
