The first painting I ever sold.
This leafy forest path was in the Karri forest near Margaret River, WA. Not a bad effort for my second painting ever. I think it has great depth.
I remember it was showing at the Harvey Art Prize exhibition in 2007. We had dropped it off on the Friday, spent the weekend at Dunsborough, or somewhere close by, then went to collect it from the exhibition on the way home.
I was both amazed and delighted when I found out it had sold, best birthday present ever. Of course it cost way more for the weekend away than I got from the sale but it was totally worth it.
